Law Enforcement Release Images of Place of Worship Blaze Suspects
Police officials probing a report of suspected arson at a Islamic center in the area have issued images of a pair of persons they are seeking to locate.
Firefighters were summoned to the religious building on the location in Peacehaven at approximately 21:50 local time on Saturday.
Although no-one was harmed in the event, the building access of the property and a car left in the vicinity were damaged per investigators, who are investigating it as a bias incident.
Det Insp the investigator stated: "This was an appalling and reckless act which we know will have caused many people experiencing less safe."
Images released show a male wearing a unique dark coat with a Pre London logo in light on the chest.
The second is wearing vibrant crimson mitts.
"We are classifying the incident as an intentional blaze with intent to endanger life and are continuing to explore a number of lines of enquiry to identify the individuals behind this," stated further Det Insp Patch.
There has been an heightened law enforcement visibility at the scene following the event, as well as extra monitoring being conducted at further places of worship around the region to ensure safety, the department said.
Someone assisting at the mosque, who asked not to be revealed, shared reporters that a duo sought to access through the doorway, only to find it closed.
Subsequently, they spread a fluid at the access area and near a automobile positioned in the open, which was lit on fire, they mentioned.

There is renewed focus around safety at religious sites after the incident at a worship center in Manchester on Thursday, in which two Jewish people were fatally injured.
The person responsible, who was killed at the site, has been revealed as an individual aged 35 the perpetrator, a UK national of Syrian descent.
A community leader, leader of a local organization, expressed all members was "profoundly upset and shocked" by the situations in both locations.
He noted that, irrespective of whether congregation members were Jewish community members, Christian, adherents of Hinduism or Muslim, the "last thing" they should expect was that an individual would attempt to injure them.
"My desire is that community representatives and further members within the community will collaborate to work towards calm," he told local media.
"It is essential that we... stand together at this moment of great need."
Advocacy organization the local group stated the incident had not emerged out of a "void".
"Over recent weeks at present, biased organizations... have been stirring up an environment of animosity and coercion directed at individuals of color across the area with flags, labels and offensive writings," it said.
The MP, Labour MP for the district, called the incident on the mosque "reprehensible".
He stated: "It is fortunate that there were no injuries is simply luck.
"This violence and animosity has no place in our calm, inclusive local community. Authorities will eliminate it and we support with all affected."
The council leader, head of Lewes District Council, remarked Muslims in Peacehaven had the "unwavering support and solidarity" of the council.
"Be in no doubt, we stand shoulder to shoulder with the community," she expressed.
