1. Star Talent Palmer Fit for High-Stakes London Derby with The Gunners

Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca stated on Friday that Cole Palmer is ready to play for the squad's significant Premier League encounter against London opponents Arsenal.

The 23-year-old English international had been sidelined due to a fractured toe incurred after an unfortunate incident.

“He is available to start and to play,” Maresca commented. “The whole team is delighted.”

In the current campaign, Palmer has made only four appearances in all tournaments, scoring twice.

Since his arrival from Manchester City in the previous year, he has notched 45 scores and 29 helpers in 101 appearances for the London club.

“He is our top performer, we are pleased he is back, we need to provide him with time to be fully fit,” Maresca noted. “He has done fantastic in the past and no doubt he is going to do very good for this club in the future.”

2. The Toffees Get No Reason for Rejected Gueye Red Card Challenge

The Merseyside club were unsuccessful in their challenge against Idrissa Gueye's red card for a fight with fellow player Michael Keane during the squad's single-goal triumph at Old Trafford.

The veteran Senegalese player was dismissed only early on into the contest after striking Keane amid a dispute over a poor pass.

The player promptly expressed regret, and the pair appeared making up afterwards in a mock online video.

However, the challenge against the red card was turned down, and Gueye must complete a three-game suspension, making Everton shorthanded for their upcoming fixture against Newcastle United.

“We challenged the decision and it was rejected,” manager David Moyes revealed. “No explanation was provided for the rejection but we did appeal it.”

When asked about more issues from the incident, Moyes continued: “It ended right away, it was done, that was it, we progressed quite quickly and it was all sorted within the team environment.”

3. Yoane Wissa Trains with The Magpies for Initial Session since Setback

Newcastle United's new acquisition Yoane Wissa has trained with his squad for the initial occasion since sustaining a knee injury soon after his arrival from Brentford in the autumn.

Head coach Eddie Howe announced the development on the end of the week but did not disclose a potential return date for the player.

Newcastle signed the forward for £55m to replace Alexander Isak, who moved to Liverpool for a British record transfer fee.

Unfortunately, Wissa was injured while on international duty before he could play his first game for his new club.

“He is doing well, he trained with us for the first time on midweek, so I was extremely satisfied with how he looked,” Howe commented. “It was his initial competitive session with the team. Let’s see how he responds today.”

Howe continued: “We have a target return date, but it’s likely best if I do not share it publicly. We don’t want to disappoint anyone. Of course, we want to include him as promptly.”

In other news, the defender will be sidelined for a four-week period with a hamstring injury.

West Ham United head coach Nuno Espírito Santo has stated that Liverpool' dip in performance “is largely irrelevant” as his team gets ready to face the struggling Premier League title holders.

The Liverpool manager's team has lost six of the last seven Premier League games, falling out of the upper half of the standings.

Nevertheless, Nuno stressed that there can be no room for overconfidence when the teams clash on the weekend at the London Stadium.

“The Reds are a strong team and in football, what counts is what you do on the day,” Nuno commented. “We are preparing to play the title winners, players that are skilled and capable of doing great things, so we have to get ready.

“The history of the results before, the form of the teams, doesn’t really matter. It is about the day. Aware that we are going to face a very good team, that has players capable of doing fantastic things, so we have to prepare thoroughly, to perform.”

West Ham will welcome back Lucas Paquetá after his suspension, while Crysencio Summerville and Dinos Mavropanos are progressing in their recovery from fitness issues.

5. Gibbs-White Could Feature for Nottingham Forest against The Seagulls

The club's manager Sean Dyche is hopeful that Morgan Gibbs-White will be ready for the team's at home fixture against Brighton on the weekend.

The English player missed Thursday's European match against the Swedish side due to a back injury.

“We hope it is improving,” Dyche said as he prepared to face the Brighton manager's team, who have secured seven points from their past three matches.

“It’s similar to a sore back, but a waking-up sort of injury, one where you just sleep funny or move improperly. So we’re not anticipating, at this stage anyway, that it’s too serious and it’s settling down already. So we’re hopeful that it’ll be right for the weekend.”

The defender was experiencing discomfort in his hamstring after the 3-0 Europa League win, but Dyche said the player “will likely be available”.

However, Ola Aina (thigh injury), Douglas Luiz (thigh), the winger (hamstring), the striker (knee), and the defender (hip) are likely to miss out.
